The presentation and sharing of experiences from different countries in the field of social protection was the approach adopted by the CPEC to the Forum “Social protection for inclusive growth”.

The Forum was also an opportunity to identify possible options for strengthening the integrated management of national development, aligning the strategies, the economic and social measures and social protection systems that enable an inclusive economic growth model, more durable and sustainable the long term.

During the meeting, participants focused on the themes “The conceptual and logical dimensions of inclusive growth”, “As fits the social protection inclusive growth” and “Strategies and interventions – its effects, costs and potential.”

Organized by the EPC, under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth, Employment and Human Resource Development, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Program for Children (UNICEF), the Forum was attended by a group of speakers who included heads of government agencies, international organizations, technical and national and international personalities.

It was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and the United Nations system, parliamentarians, representatives of the government and public institutions, city councils and civil society organizations.

The works also included the presence of representatives from West African countries and universities.
